Bell Let's Talk has a vision where everyone can get the mental health support they need. Let's kick off this year with action and change, building on 14 years of increased awareness and acceptance around mental health.
DID YOU KNOW? One of the biggest hurdles for anyone struggling with mental illness is overcoming the stigma attached to it. Talking is an important first step. Dedicated to moving mental health forward, Bell Let's Talk Day has become the world's largest conversation about mental health, encouraging us to talk and take action to reduce the stigma and promote awareness and understanding so everyone can get the help that they need.
Belleville is one of many communities dealing with the complex issues of mental health, addictions, homelessness, and its impact on community safety & well-being.
For “Bell Let’s Talk over Breakfast” we will be joined by a few of the key agencies that have been responding to these needs and hear about the advocacy efforts, how people have been impacted, the work being done to secure funding, the proposed solutions and how you might help an employee, a friend or even a family member.
Guest speakers include:
Brandi Hodge – United Way
Ashley Vader – Grace Inn
Lisa Ali – Canadian Mental Health Association HPE
Steve Van de Hoef – BQWCHC (Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre)
