Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm · 1494 Hwy 37, Plainfield
Thursday, June 13th · 5:00 - 7:00 pm · Just 5 minutes North of Hwy 401
This small apiary is looking forward to welcoming Chamber members and guests. Rain or shine, we are excited to get a behind-the-scenes look at 'life in the hive'. Watch for the large sign in front of the farm and a yellow "Honey For Sale" sign at the mailbox.
Why should you go? This is a unique opportunity to not only network with our local business community but to get up close to the apiary, learn about how bees do what they do, try on a beekeeping suit, and even taste some fresh honey! If you intend to try on the beekeeping suit, please wear closed-toe shoes and socks. The gift shop will be open for your pleasure. Members can look forward to great prize draws, and even better company.
Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm tries to operate in a zero-waste manner, composting and recycling whenever possible. PLEASE BRING REUSABLE MUG or CUP to reduce waste. Each guest will have two tickets for complimentary alcoholic beverages. You can also enjoy snacks, soft drinks and juice.
Allergic to bees? You probably should avoid attending. Bees don't look for people to sting, but it can happen with food and sweet beverages being available. PLEASE refrain from wearing fragrances!
WHERE DO I PARK? Guests are asked to park in the field behind the house. Continue down the driveway, following the signs, and please park on the left/north side of the field behind the black shed. There will be someone onsite to direct you to the appropriate area. Don't worry! The field is flat, dry and landscaped. DO NOT PARK ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY! It is dangerous, with speeds regularly exceeding 80km/hour. Please consider carpooling! The carpool park located beside Hwy 401 East ramp is just 5 minutes from the farm.
