Employment Standards in Ontario

The Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) sets minimum standards for most workplaces in Ontario. Special rules and exemptions apply to certain employees.

This meeting will address posters, payment of wages, minimum wage, hours of work, overtime, public holidays, vactions, leaves of absence, reprisals, termination and severance, and enforcement.
