The world's deadliest influenza pandemic, known as the Spanish Flu, swept across Canada and the World between 1918-1919. With no effective vaccine or treatment, the virus infected Canadians at an alarming rate, resulting approximately 55,000 deaths. Discover how the Spanish Flu pandemic profoundly impacted the history of Canada in this new travelling exhibit from Ingenium. Local artifacts, newspaper reports and photographs will show how Belleville and the Quinte Region were impacted. Pandemic will be on display at Glanmore National Historic Site until September 29, 2019.
