In 2014 The City of Belleville, in partnership with the Quinte Branch of the United Nations Association in Canada, launched a new program called Ambassadors for Belleville.

Recongnizing the diversity of citizens, and international students living in Belleville, regular gatherings will: promote Canadian diversity perspectives, encourage intercultural literacy, facilitate educational and multi-cultural social events, organize roundtable discussions, develop community relationships that foster respect for diversity and inclusivity.
